-feminine hygiene products

-small bible

-healthy snacks (granola bars, etc)

-travel mug

-$5 Tim Horton's gift card

--warm socks

The Lobby is a community meal that we share together every Sunday evening.  A bunch of youth come out and help prepare a vegan meal during the day on Sunday, then bring it over to the church.  It isn't your typical soup kitchen meal service. We try to make the meals vegan so that all of the youth that help prepare it can eat with us. The dishes are intentionally re-useable.  We want to care for the earth, another command that God gave us in the beginning.

The Lobby has been a really awesome opportunity for the youth of Edmonton to get involved in something meaningful in the community.  We truly believe that when Jesus said "By this, people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another," (John 13:35) He wasn't joking around.

For the meal, we actually sit down together around a table and eat and chat.  The goal is for the Lobby to be a place where people feel like they can come and relax and hang feel genuinely cared about.  We don't just want to meet a need, but to care for the whole person, not just a hungry tummy.  Basically, we're just trying to create an atmosphere where people feel at home.  And the best part is rich and poor, short and tall, lonely, or not; every person is welcome to join us.  We pray that God's kingdom come and his will be done in the Lobby, as it is in Heaven.
