Dan VandermeerDan Vandermeer felt a call to ministry when he was 16. After high school he attended the U of A where he received a B.Ed allowing him to combine two of his passions; working with kids and math. This training led him to his current position of assistant principal at Millwoods Christian School. Dan and his wife Jacqueline have three children; Parker, Spencer and Madison. They share a passion for education and building leaders who impact their community. Dan and his family have been blessed by being a part of the exciting things happening at City Centre Church and anticipate that God has only just begun to reveal Himself. Dan currently serves on our Lead Team and finance committee and his desire is to apply the promise of John 14:12 to his life: "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father".

Omar ReyesOmar is the new addition to the City Centre Church staff. Serving as the Assistant Pastor he considers himself as the "Dwight Schrute" of City Centre! He was born in El Salvador and immigrated to Canada when he was only 5 years old. Having graduated from Vanguard College in 2002 he still considers himself a student avidly learning and re-learning what following Christ means. Before joining the City Centre crew he was a mildly crazy Youth Pastor here in the city. Omar felt like he was made the luckiest guy on this side of the prairies when he married Kelsey in 2007 at the Paramount Theatre! Things like music, movies, marathons, philosophy, controversy, pizza, shoes, books and undiscovered ideas both haunt and fascinate him.

Janine LundJanine was incredibly lucky to have been born into a solid Christian family with a lot of love to go around. For the first 15 years of her life, her Dad was a pastor, and through both him and her Mom she learned the value of Christ, and the importance of reaching out to those who are hurting or lost. Over the years Janine has had experience in practically every area of ministry and also been lead through some amazing doors of opportunity to touch the hearts of those around her. After working for several years in a very busy finance department, she felt the need to move onto a new job. Now working in the CCC office as the Admin/Finance, she has discovered that everything she's learned, both in the world and in the church, is coming together for this one position. Janine is greatly encouraged to see how God is moving at CCC and excited to explore her part in it all!

Dave Johnson
Dave grew up in Red Deer in a strong Christian home. At the age of twelve he started hanging out with other delinquents his age and got into a lot of trouble. At the age of sixteen he had an encounter with God and would never be the same. That same year he went on his first missions trip to Honduras. It was at an alter in this small country where he first heard the call to ministry. Dave has a passion to see youth come into the kingdom of heaven, and desires to see them continue to follow Christ for the rest of their lives. Dave joined the CCC staff team as Youth Pastor in September of 2008. |
