Kids in the City!
Who we are:
We are a group of leaders who want to see children of all ages know God through His word and through relationship with Him. We want to help kids grow in Christian character and help them live out their faith in confident and contagious ways. Proverbs 22:6 gives us confidence that as we serve kids God is preparing their hearts for a life long relationship with Him.
All of our leaders attend "Plan to Protect" training to ensure the highest standards for safety and care for all children attending the CCC children's ministries.
The Kids in the City Leaders love ministering to your kids each week. We will do our best to partner with your family in prayer and practical support. On Sunday's at CCCFamilies join together in the theatre at 10:30am every Sunday. Parents can accompany their children to register them for ministry when the Kids in the City Slide is shown during the corporate worship time. We have four specific areas for children and their families to take part in Sunday mornings at CCC:
0-1 year - The New Mother's room is available at the back of the theatre. This room is equipped with toys, a comfy sitting area for feedings and a bathroom with changing area for parent's convenience. Father's are welcome to use this room with their children but are asked to be sensitive to the desire for privacy from breastfeeding mothers.
6 months-2 years - Nursery Ministry. Our Nursery is located beside the New Mother's room at the back of the theatre. This room is set up for interactive learning through play. Toddlers will take part in singing, prayer, Bible lessons and crafts that will help them build a foundation in their relationship with God.
3-5 years - Preschool Ministry. Preschool aged children meet just off the lobby in their own special "Kids in the City" venue. They will have a blast learning about God through games, crafts and other interactive activities.
6-11 years - Children's Ministry. The children meet in our newly renovated basement; their own special "Kids in the City" venue. They will have a blast learning about God through games, small groups times and other interactive activities. These Elementary students will be encouraged in their relationship with God each week and taught practical ways to follow James 1:22 "Don't just listen to God's word, do what it says.".
On Sunday's at CSC
Our Kids ministry areas are located next to Theatre 4 where Corporate Worship is lead. Parents can register their kids before the service at our registration table and have their Kids join them in the corporate worship time.
Kids are dismissed once the Kids in the City Slide is shown. Nursery parents can walk their children to the Nursery to drop them off. 3-11's can line up with the Kids Ministry Leaders and will be taken as a large group to their specific ministry area.
Parents are asked to pick children up at 11:30 to allow for time to clean up and tear down.
6mths-2 years - Nursery Ministry. Our Nursery is located in one of the party rooms beside the main theatre. This room is set up for interactive learning through play. Toddlers will take part in singing, prayer, Bible lessons and crafts that will help them build a foundation in their relationship with God. Parents are encouraged to take crafts home and use them as a spring board into meaningful conversations about God and his word with their children.
3-11 years - we currently run a 3-11's large group ministry that includes crafts, games and snacks all revolving around a central theme. Each week a craft or a take home activity is given to kids and parents are encouraged to use them as a spring board into meaningful conversations about God and his word with their children.
Our goal at CSC is to grow our leadership team so we can run a 3-5's and 6-11's group in the future. If you would like to volunteer please email Pastor Julie.
