About Living Groups

It is possible to have 400 friends on Facebook and still be missing out on friendships.

Consider the process involved in establishing these "friends"; a couple of keystrokes and clicks of the mouse and voila you have your very own community!

When you "creep" on a friends profile page it seems like you are catching up on how they are doing even though you never ACTUALLY talk with them.
When you respond to a comment left on your wall it seems like a friendly thing to do even if it's 3 months LATER!

Living in a Facebook world is a reminder that we long for community just as long as it's safe and convenient.
We want to reduce the friction and risk involved when we open our lives to another person.
Facebook places us in control behind the wheel.

And yet, it is that lack of control that makes relationships so precious and beautiful.
We are complex individuals that can't be put into a mould or a label. We are vibrant and unpredictable.
So why do we attempt to sterilize the messiness of friendships by making it as simple as a mouse-click away?

LIVING groups here at City Centre Church are our attempt at inviting you into the possibility of being a part of messy, unpredictable and beautiful relationships.

You are invited to make real friends, not pixelated ones.
You are invited to share your heart, not just your status.
You are invited to create memories, not just post pictures.

The next step is up to you.
You can join a group or lead one.

To join a group take a look at our  online directory of groups and contact the LIVING Group leader at their phone number or email address. Or if you are considering leading a group please read through the process and apply.
